I am a retired nurse who spent most of my career working in nursing/rehab facilities. My friend was at gardner rehab after a hospitalization. I visited daily. Staff there were very attentive and kind. My only issue was the fact that the call lights were not working for the first couple of weeks she was there. The patients had bells they rang when nursing was needed and it would take awhile for the staff to find where it was coming from. I had no other concerns during her stay.
Efficient, Friendly and affable staff. The nursing staff and CNAs are quick to please. The rehabilitation personnel are insistent on doing it right. Staff such as Heidi The Concierge, is always there to assist. Please consider her, and others not named. For raises in salary. Promotions should such hierarchy exist. We have had five different stays at Gardner Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Each one was the same - excellent. Excellent in care, surrounding, staff, spirit and even the food received raves by our sister. Can't recommend it enough!
My mother has stayed at Gardner Rehab twice now after fracturing bones & falling ill, and they have done a phenomenal job of physically rehabbing her to return home. The staff are attentive & kind. I know that when my mother is unable to be safe in her own home, she is well cared for by the staff at Gardner Rehab. The food needs some improvement, but there are plenty of places nearby to order food from when the meals are lacking. As a nurse who has worked in many nursing homes over the past 25+ years, I definitely would recommend Gardner Rehab to anyone who requires skilled nursing care.
The main complaint is lack of food for diabetics-only jello and canned fruit with syrup in it.The following people Lisa, Tina,Stacey, Heidi, therapists Danielle and Ryan and nurse Nicole, are especially helpful!
I recently had a past client stay at the Gardner rehab facility and they were thoroughly please with the care and assistance they received there. Based on this I would recommend this facility to others.
My mom hasn't been there very long but care seems to be excellent I guess should have given 5 stars but haven't even been there a month yet!!!!!
I am very happy with the care my Dad is receiving. The facility is very clean and staff are awesome. Lisa the first person you see when you walk in is very helpful and welcoming. Ot and pt are wonderful. Thank you all for everything you do!

When entering the facilty, I am always warmly greeted by Lisa at the front desk. When visiting, first encounters are important and Lisa provides a welcomesmile and reassurance.
Lisa at the front desk if very friendly and professional! She he is so willing to help with any questions and if she doesn’t have the answer she will find out who can help! It is always nice to feel welcomed when arriving for a visit with my dad.
My ten day stay here was unexpected after complications from surgery but the entire staff proved to be kind, courteous, professional, respectful, and reassuring. They all worked to get me back on my feet. Even the meals were very good.

I'm very pleased with the nurses and aides for taking care of my aunt ! We were really close and she was my GodMother ! It was very hard to put her in a facility cause she was independent her while life ! But ...she needed 24/7 help due to her disease progressing ! Heidi , I can't remember her last name , but it started with a B ! She was very sweet and comforting ! She definitely helped make this emotional process a little easier ! Ty for all that helped and for all of the other workers ! You don't go unnoticed !
I cannot say enough regarding the care my husband received while at Gardner Rehab. When he arrived after being at another facility he had an open wound with an infection after having triple bypass. He was in very bad condition. The staff made sure he arrived at his appointments in Boston and Heywood Hospital wound care facility. He had a pump placed in the wound to pump out the infection and the staff made sure the wound was cleaned at specific times. I am very happy to say the PT and OT people were diligent in their task to getting my husband on his feet. We cannot say enough about all who cared for him and would not hesitate recommending Gardner, Mass Rehabilitation and Nursing.

We worked hand in hand with the team at Gardner Center. The team was great, from the coordination with admissions, resident care by Nursing, activities coordination while working in resident areas. Amazing staff very compassionate n caring for others needs friendly .The concierge Heidi Bertrand is so very kind thoughtful n caring of others n will go above n beyond to help..the place is very clean n activities also does a awesome job at keeping the residents happy with fun activities to do …Would recommend here for a loved one 😊

Gardner Rebab & Nursing Center is a little slice of heaven here on earth! From the moment I walked in the door, I could sense a positive energy among the staff - from the administrator to the laundry person. The way that the nursing staff interact with each other was a beautiful thing to observe. The facility is pristine in its cleanliness and presentation. I was seen and heard and all of my concerns for my Mom were met. My Mom was only here for 5 days, but in that short time she was treated with dignity, respect and love like I've never experienced from people who didn't even know her. Jackie and Simone and all of the nursing staff (I don't remember all the names - I'm sorry) that I dealt with are at the top of their game in the way they do their job - I was treated with such love and compassion and there was always clear communication as to my Mom's situation. I would highly recommend this place for your loved ones!!
Love the staff; the atmosphere is one of loving care because the staff works here because they love the patients and want to be there. Always my first choice.
One would think going to a nuring home would be depressing and difficult but the entire staff was so warm and caring and responded to my mother's every need that it was actually enjoyable. Allowing dogs, which can be the greatest comfort, and having resident dog Jacques was a big plus. The activities department went above and beyond. I appreciate everyone of the staff who made my mother's last year a good one. The nurses and CNAs there are angles in disguise.
On behalf of my uncle and myself, I wish to express our deep appreciation for the receptionists Eleanor and Lisa, for always being eager to assist us!! They both are outstanding people and a great asset to the Rehab center!!

Have my second family member in this facility in six months. Staff was amazing when the first member passed and now the second member is going thru rehabilitation there and having great results. Facility is super clean and staff is truly amazing.
On a whole I've been receiving excellent care! My only concern so far is the selection of meals. I continually get foods with potassium (failing kidneys), too many sweets (diabetic), and an overload of sodium (CHF). I have to send these foods back!!

Gardner rehabilitation center is a great place the staff are all very caring and took very good care of me, they have addressed all of my needs. Social services Jody very good very nice, Heidi the concierge addressed anything or my concerns that I had very caring. I came here about 3 months ago for a stay , I had a wound in an difficult place that required a vac machine , I was bed bound for first month , first I want to say , I came in as a patient , but was treated like family , there are many people I NEED to thank in this long stay , Kimmy ,Tre , Kellie , Lee , Veronica , Janet , Jenn , Julie , Ashley , mary Lee , Arther and his wife , and Heidi for the constant care , I know I'm missing some people from the weekend crew and I'm sorry , there are more people off hand that are slipping my mind , but there's two special aides that I have to give special love to , Rox and Tina 🖤🖤 they really made this stay special , the laughs and chats made the times special , also love to the PTs , Danielle and Krista , after being bed bound for first month and have pelvic bone disease and MS , they got me on my feet and walking again , a shout out to the cooks , food is amazing here , but the two people that need some attention , thxxx to Ryhlie and really special love to my Nikki Hoi , ala Nichole , she is my vac changer , without her I don't know how this would be , I can't give enough thxxxx and love to her , really going to miss 😥🖤 , these are special people doing great job , and it's a bitter sweet time when leaving , this place is not just to be a patient , but family , and not eNough stars to give here , HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for your loved one for care , I'm going to miss it here , 💔🖤🌹😥 room 108 will never be the same without me 🤣🤣

My Dad is currently at Gardner Rehab and it has been a great experience. All the staff has been extremely helpful and they really show that they care about the patients that are here. The services that they advertise are services that you actually receive and if your loved one has an appointment during the day off site, they still get their services, PT and OT for a couple of examples. My Dad isn’t the greatest with names, but always enjoys when Heidi, Luke, and Nicole are around! I know there are others, too!
Mom was well cared for and felt like the staff really cared. Would recommend this rehab to anybody. She loved the food and felt like she was at a restaurant.

I have been very impressed with the staff and care at Gardner Rehab. All of the nursing staff are attentive to the residents, the activities offered are really great and the food is good too. You can tell a lot of it is made from scratch. Overall a nice, clean place.
First impressions are important, especially when a visitor is entering a nursing home, anxious about what to expect. Lisa, the receptionist at Gardner Rehab, sets that first impression, and she is warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Besides helping visitors, she greets residents by name as they pass her area and makes them feel truly at home. Lisa goes well beyond what one would expect in that position and helps coordinate transportation of residents' doctor and hospital visits. She is a much-welcoming presence to staff, residents and visitors. One of the best at Gardner Rehab!
Heidi the concierge always checking in with us if we ever need anything she's very nice.Nicole Carrie and Riley RNs are very nice. and very good. Kelly the CNA works very hard and will always go above and beyond to help, Mara is very good. ALSO Roxanne is wonderful and caring The CNA'S during the day are awesome.!!!The 3rd shift is HORRIBLE could have a lot more compassion.The food in the kitchen can be a lot better.overall great place physical therapy PT all very good.
My mother has been at Gardner Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for 4 months. My /our experience has been amazing! I cannot say enough about the staff! They are very attentive to her needs and go above and beyond their call of duty. Nurse Manager Julie is phenomenal! The facility is clean and well maintained. They even have an adorable resident dog named Jaxx who makes everyone smile and melts hearts. I would highly recommend Gardner Rehabilitation & Nursing Center to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.
The exceptional care my mother recieved while in the rehab unit was amazing, all the staff was so helpful, courteous and professional. My mother always spoke so highly of her favorite cna Mary Lee, said she cheered up the whole room and always had a smile on her face when she walked in.

My brother has been in the Gardener Rehab since March. The staff has consistently been responsive to his needs and their positivity has been a relief to our family. His nurse Jacklyn has been wonderful. She communicates effectively while giving feedback that supports his recovery going forward and has amazing patience!! That said, we know it takes a village so a wholehearted thank you also goes out to Julie, Anna, Patrick, “K”, and Santiago to name a few. Aside from the competence of care that is evident is the compassion of care … and that makes all the difference!
The Rehab. Unit is very well managed by Nurse Lee. Thank you to him, the nurses and the CNAs that provided very good nursing care to my mother. Joann PT, who manages the Therapy team goes above and beyond to ensure that the patients have what they need. The entire team is excellent. They were able to get my mother's pain under control and increase her mobility and ADLs.Thank you to Concierge Heidi who always has a friendly smile and greeting. She contributes to the family like culture of the facility.My mother now resides on South 1. Many thanks to all of the hard working nurses and CNAs, particularly Nurse Lisa and Nurse Stacy for their concern , communication skills, and caring.Thank you to the wonderful Activities Department: Evie, Collene, and Emily. My mother is now playing Bingo again! As well as attending the various other activities that are offered.Thank you to the culinary staff who provide the well rounded meals. Thank you to the laundry staff who are prompt with their service. Thank you to Ken (Maintenance) for his positive interactions with my mother and for making her laugh.Thank you to Lisa at the front desk who is a great multitasker.A big Thank you to Lisa in the business office for all of her time and attention. I honestly have nothing but good to say. Mary lee is the best! She is great at what she does and makes the process very easy and special. My Aunt Couldn’t ask for any better treatment then what she gets from her CNA Ms. Lee. I’m so grateful for the way she always cheers my aunt up when she walks in her room, nothing but smiles and laughter from the time she walks in till she leaves the room, she’s such a blessing!
My grandmother was there last year, Mary Lee and Mary Newcomb was amazing. They were Fantastic in her care, as well as her nurses Manny, Brian, and Nicole. I would highly recommend this group to anyone.
Visited a friend on the rehab unit last week and Everytime his cna Mary Lee walked in he would get the biggest smile on his face and tell me she was his absolute favorite, so thank you Mary Lee for making his days here amazing
Went to the rehab center to visit my uncle, facility was clean, rooms were spacious and all the staff was very attentive to the needs of not only my uncle, but us as well, Mary Lee and Roxanne P. I was more than happy with my recent visit to Gardner Rehab. All the staff I interacted with were pleasant. The receptionist helped me register as a visitor and gave me directions to the room that I was visiting. The nurses, CNA's, housekeeping and support staff were all knowledgeable. Also the facility inside and out were clean and well taken care of.
I have been a resident on the rehab unit for a few months now. All staff is excellent, especially my CNA Mary Lee. Im so glad shes my cna because I couldnt do this without her upbeat attitude, and motivation, she always encourages me to do better.
Aides,cna's, nurses do a great job even though they seem to be understaffed at times.The therapist ot's, pt's and st's are second to none they are excellent .I'd like to give a special shout out to concierge Heidi she visits every morning to address any concerns she's great.
Incompetent overnight staff and some obviously doped up. Understaffed all the time results in patients being ignored when needing help that is not acceptable in any case. No communication to family. Some great nurses during the day but just a handful. Not a good experience and lacking in sufficient P.T. just a walk down the hallway is all they are doing.
Staff was very welcoming. Any questions asked were promptly answered. Almost felt like I was checking my husband into a resort, but there were no paper umbrellas in his drink. Wonderful caring staff that could not do enough for him during the week, weekends the floor staff, butnot the specialists, were a bit more relaxed and I needed to go to the desk for assistance because the assistance needed buttons seemed to be ignored. When I went to the desk everyone was ready to help. Overall A very positive experience.
It was a very positive experience at this facility! I went to visit my children’s grandmother, my ex mother-in-law there. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and the facility itself is spotless. By far the best rehabilitation center I’ve been to.
So pleased with the nursing/rehabilitation staff. Very responsive to my mother's needs as well as my own as her advocate. Great scheduling and activities are a good balance and help Mom to stay active. Progress has been made very quickly and recovery is going very well for her. Spent two weeks here recovering from bad accident and am so thankful this is we’re insurance sent me. Robin, the concierge is wonderful! Always there to answer a question and super friendly. And thank you for the wonderful blanket.Nursing staff was awesome (except for the overnight people). Cannot remember their name but image attached. Thank you for taking such thoughtful care of me.Food was good (I am diabetic and they made me a wonderful baked fish with green veggies and potato) all I had to do was ask.Physical therapy-big shout out to Suzanne who got me walking again! Cannot thank her enough. Room was comfortable, no complaints there either.Facility was clean and had a nice courtyard to enjoy warm days (and smoke).I moved to the area for a job and have no family here and they took such good care me. Alleviated all my fears and made me feel safe.If ever injured requiring rehab again this is where I hope they send me.
This was my first visit to a patient who was admitted the night before so I don't have a lot of feedback at this time. I will say that everyone I interacted with was very pleasant and helpful. I also found the facility to be very clean.I hope I will be able to give high marks for patient care during my family member's stay which of course is the most important thing for our loved one.
This is a beautiful and clean facility with spacious semi private rooms. All of the staff members that I encountered are very friendly starting with the receptionist and everyone along the way, including the Concierge Heidi who greeted me graciously and answered all of my questions. I also had the pleasure of meeting the Administrator Kim who is very caring and concerned about patients' needs. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is in need of short term rehab.
My grandfather has lived at Gardener Rehab & Nursing home for four years now, through the toughest part of Covid, and he has throughly enjoyed his time there. All of the staff is caring and supportive, the interior is kept clean and the exterior always looks nice. I would recommend this for both short term and long term care.
Just hired and had an interview, staff is very nice and caring. Willing to work with you and your schedule or whatever you may need, they'll make happen!! Very excited to start working tomorrow November 5th. The facility seems clean, staff seems helpful, compassionate and dedicated to teamwork making the dream work lol😁 which is very important! I believe I'll be here for years to come, it's just a place that's down to earth and I'm excited to be a part of it!!
Shout out to the staff on East 1 who cared for my mom while on Hospice up until her passing.Nurse Nicole her primary nurse was exceptional in overseeing her medications and making her comfortable up until the end.Sorry I can’t remember all the names of the staff but all were so kind. Most came in at the beginning of each shift to introduce themselves.As an RN and previous manager in an elder services program I know that customer service is of utmost importance. I have to commend ALL staff who did not leave the room without saying “Is there anything else I can do for you!” I loved that.
